September 17 ~ Black Point Estate Lake Geneva
Black Point is an estate on the south shore of Lake Geneva in Wisconsin that was built 1888 as a summer home by Conrad Seipp, a beer tycoon from Chicago. The Queen Anne style mansion features a nautical-theme, four-story "crow's nest" observation tower, which can be seen from many points on the lake. For lunch we head over to Millie's Restaurant and Shopping Village located on seven acres of rich farmland where the lush English gardens are a delight in any season. October 7 ~ Wollersheim Winery Tour and Tasting AND The Old Feed Mill
Located in Prairie du Sac, the award winning Wollersheim Winery rests along the scenic Wisconsin River hillside. The golden colored limestone winery was built in the 1850's and today has become known as a leading winery in the Midwest and the largest in Wisconsin. Lunch at the Old Feed Mill is included in this trip. From the antique buggy used for display in the gift shop to the restored dinner tables in the restaurant, forgotten treasures come to life at The Old Feed Mill.
