School Bus Driver Recognition
Riteway’s school bus drivers watch over all students in their care
February 15 – 21, 2009 School Bus Driver Recognition Week
Germantown, WI– January 28, 2009 – School bus drivers play a valuable role in the life, education and development of the children they transport. In honor of these caring individuals, Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle has proclaimed the week of February 15th through 21st 2009 as School Bus Driver Recognition Week. In addition to the responsibility of picking up children from their bus stops and delivering them safely to school then, returning in the afternoon to safely drive them home, school bus drivers must also face daily conditions that demand alert response at all times.
Consider the following: Riteway Drivers~
- are constantly aware of changing events on the road as well as inside the school bus
- make quick precise decisions contingent on other drivers, road conditions and weather
- remain focused on traffic, weather, road conditions as well as their passengers
- have a high level of social contact working with students, teachers and parents
- are attentive to the well being of their passengers at all times
- are the ULTIMATE multi-taskers
Throughout School Bus Driver Recognition Week, Riteway encourages students, parents and schools to share a smile and a heartfelt thank you to the dedicated, responsible and reliable professionals who safely deliver our children to and from school each and every day whether rain, snow or shine! Please join us in recognizing all of our school bus drivers and the outstanding work that they do.
