Bus Safety and Training
Motorcoach Safety and training at Riteway Bus Service is always a top priority. We focus on specialized training for our motorcoach drivers. This specialized training will ensure that our passengers experience a safe, comfortable and gracious motorcoach ride.
 We continually revise and update our Motorcoach training program. Our extensive bus training program provides the tools necessary for our applicants to become successful motorcoach bus drivers.
The training and safety program consists of:
- Classroom training
- 5 Keys of defensive driving
- Behind the wheel training
- Actual trip with an experienced driver trainer
- Weather related driving skills
- Highway Watch. A program developed by the Department of Homeland Security
Our Safety Director, David Butcher, who has many years of experience in the transportation safety area, is an integral part of our management team. He is an expert in DOT regulations and ensures that our drivers and mechanics are following all of the correct procedures. David was instrumental in equipping all of our coach buses with the latest GPS tracking devices, all for your safety. David and his team are always aware of where their motorcoach buses are wherever they may be traveling.
Riteway has received the top rating on our Standards of Service and Safety Inspection by the Department of Defense (DOD), complying with both the Military Bus Agreement and Code of Federal Regulations. To view our letter from the DOD, click here. |
